Met up with a friend for a quick brew to show off my haul from the mall. I'm not a fan of greasy diner style places but my friend loves it. She ordered the Loaded Baked Potato skins sans bacon bits. I gotta say if I was a teenager again and had no fear of coronary disease this cheese laden crispy potato concoction would be a favorite. Sadly my teenage years have long since past but I did try a few. It's kinda like trying to turn away from a train wreck once you start. You know you shouldn't be eating this but it goes so well with the cold beer and conversations with childhood friends. The beer was cold, the staff was friendly and those loaded potato skins were tasty. I enjoyed my first time at Logan's Roadhouse but didn't find it the kind of place I would frequent. If I were a lover of red meat and blaring country music things might be different.

Food crap, place is dirty and looks like no one cares. Wouldn't waste my time going here, doesn't look like a lot of people do. The new Santa Fe in Baton Rouge opened up, i would just go there. Food is so much better and place is so much nicer!

Myself, my husband and 3 kids decided to dine here on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th. Big mistake. We were not greeted at the door. About after standing at the host station for 7 minutes we were finally asked if we had been helped and seated. Our waiter took our drink orders immediately and they were brought back in a timely fashion. We gave the waiter our app order and food order. The appetizer took 27 minutes to come out. Which seems like an excessive amount of time for me. The appetizer was just ok. The fired pickles were not crispy, they were mushy. Our entrees took an additional 32 minutes to come out to the table after the appetizer. I ordered a steak that was overcooked and had to be sent back. My son ordered a chicken sandwich that was missing items he added to it. My husband ordered a steak that was undercooked from what he ordered, he did not send it back because he was so hungry he just decided to eat it as it was. Lastly, my daughter ordered a salad and it was correct. My steak came out again after another 23 minutes, and this time it was undercooked. I was so hungry by this time I decided to eat it, but did let the waiter know that it was still not right. My sons chicken sandwich came out right the second time. After we received our appetizer we did not see our waiter again and had to ask random wait staff walking by for drinks. Once our entrees were delivered we saw him only one other time for refills on drinks and things we needed and then again when it was time for the bill. He brought the bill and I gave him 4 gift cards with $25 on each of them. 13 min later he came back to the table saying he ran them and 2 of them had a zero balance. So I gave him my cc. While he was gone, I reviewed the receipts he brought and went on the website to check the gc balances. 2 of the gift cards still had $25 on them and via the receipts he had ran 2 of them multipal times. Why he didn't notice this is beyond me. So I asked for a manager when he finally returned. The manager voided my cc transaction and fixed the rest of the bill with the gift cards. This is probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant. I will NEVER recommend this Logan's to anyone. And my family dines out at least 3 times a week and am asked tons of time, places to recommend. This will not be one of them.

I wish I could give them 0 stars!!! This place is HORRIBLE! From the waiter who rarely checked on us, had to request silverware, & refills to the terrible food they attempted to serve us. I ordered my usual steak salad & it was beyond disgusting. The steak was supposed to be medium well & it was charcoal burnt. I requested the manager to come out & he was beyond rude. He attempted to argue with me about the steak being fresh after I told him it wasn't & it had to be sitting under the warmer since lunch. This was my first time eating at this location & my last. I wouldn't recommend this location to my enemy!!!

My sons and I visited at about 4:30 Saturday afternoon. I was told they couldn't seat us because they were short handed and they didn't want to put the wait staff under too much stress. From the hostess stand, I could see six empty tables, but a few tables were occupied. The manager informed me that if I didn't want to wait for the dinner shift to begin that I could just go somewhere else. I did.

Sloooow service! Two of us came about 1:30pm on Sat.for a late lunch. Hardly anyone there. Finally got tea. No bread cause had to wait for awhile for them to cook some, or so our waitress said. We didn't need the bread anyway so it was really no bother. Finally got bread served but had to get her attention to get us bread plates to eat on. Had to get our own silverware from another table. We both ordered luncheon salads. Took forever to get our food!. Noticed other people even got steaks before we got our salads. AND these were a group of four and one of six people that had arrived after we came! When we questioned our waitress she just said she was sorry and didn't know why it was taking so long. We also had to run her down to refill our beverages. We try to be patient and not complain because one never knows what is going on in the kitchen, but this got a little ridiculous. We had an "Anything &Everything salad" and a grilled chicken salad. They were both delicious. Very crisp fresh greens an chicken grilled perfect. I've always enjoyed having lunch here but other times service has been a little slow too. Usually satisfied with the food though. Probably will not go for dinner because of this issue.

I've had it with Logan's! I used to visit for lunch about once a month, as it is close to my office. I don't know what caused it, but they have been on a steady decline for at least the past year. If they're not they're taking twice as long as claimed to fill your order, they're getting your order wrong, even omitting key items like fish. A couple days ago, I placed an order for the country fried chicken fingers and fries from the appetizer portion of their menu. The fingers were so overdone, they were dark brown in color and hard as a rock, and about half of it was completely inedible. The fries were soggy and cold. I wish I could post pictures. I was taking what some would call a late lunch: about 1:45. My suspicion is that my order was sitting around for a while, possibly since the lunch rush earlier. It was probably someone's messed up order! So, needless to say, I will not be returning to Logan's, and I DO NOT recommend you do either. Don't waste your money or your lunch break!

Went here the other day. Had to wait 30 minutes for a booth. Got seated at a booth that had a burnt out light fixture. Ordered a rare steak, got it raw. Overall horrible and, except for one exceptional waiter, that wasn't ours, this place really deserves LESS THAN ONE star.

I should have heeded the Yelp warnings about the slow service and meh food but I didn't so hopefully you will heed my warning. We went on a Saturday night so I expected for a bit of a wait but 20 minutes to sit at the table, 10 minutes for drinks, and almost 45 for food. Waitress wasn't impolite but not attentive, and she only had 4 tables and never refilled our drinks. The table behind us had to send back their ribs because they were undercooked and the table next to us didn't have silverware or drinks for at least 10 minutes and he got his side salad before his drinks. The waitresses had to bus their own tables and no one was in a hurry to do anything. The problem here is most likely mismanagement and lack of staff than the staff themselves. Would not go back, would not recommend.

Came here because we were near the mall and needed low carb menu options. Big mistake. Waited forever to be seated (not crowded), and as I write this, we're well past 30 minutes on food. Completely unacceptable. To our server's credit, she's stopped by and apologized 3 times, but at this point apologies aren't helping the situation. Definitely will not be back here. Decent dining, I would return here, but they ned to work on some things. The service was attentive, and worked hard to fill in the glitches as they happened. The ribs I had were tender, tasty and well prepared. The grilled shrimp was also tasty, but a little overcooked. My wife's steak was done well, but it tasted like a lower grade of steak than we are accustomed to. This place has an over-managed, corporate feel. The grade of raw ingredients not quite up to par for Louisiana, staff seems overworked, scurrying around taking and modifying orders, overselling in a pushy sort of way. Manger is all over the place "granting favors for oversights", checking on people, plates and customers. There is a lot of motion for little movement. The decor is late twentieth century sports bar. A Madison-Avenue rendition of a roadhouse. As a place to catch a game, have a decent meal it fits the bill. Not really a dining experience. Good selection of standard cocktails and beer, but no wine selection outside of "pineapple champagne". It feels a bit rushed, like the manger has a stopwatch on each table to measure turnover. I prefer a relaxed dinner, and not feel like a contestant/statistical data point. Get head office outta there and Logan's could be first-rate. The metal bucket for peanut shells is a nice touch, less barbaric. The peanuts were fresh, salty and a nice way to start dinner.

The place is fine, but it needs work if it's going to improve: The staff was polite, but didn't know the menu well. Told the server that I didn't want bacon on my baked potato. She said it didn't come bacon, only butter and sour cream. Baked potato shows up with butter and bacon, no sour cream? Food was average, not because of quality, but because of improper cooking. The NY Strip, which should've been a better cut of meet than their usual steak was difficult to cut through (the entire thing). The one lady in the bar couldn't actually serve all the people there well enough. I never got a refill on my water (period), even after putting it in eyesight of the server. Nor was I asked if I wanted a refill. The bread was great, but I only got 2 rolls, and again, was never offered anymore bread.

Had dinner here tonight. This place is precisely a 3 star for me. A-OK. It isn't fabulous, it isn't lousy, it is A-OK. Our server was new but eager to please and efficient. I ordered a NY Strip medium. It was flavorfully seasoned and cooked to exactly medium. Salad was fresh and crisp. I'd skip the baked sweet potato as it was overdone. Bread is soft but has too much butter/oil on it. Happy hour specials run from 3-6 and again from 8-10.

My friends and I tried this place out for the first time yesterday. We all had a great time, service and management was excellent, food was awesome. We were a party of 6; normally this is an automatic gratuity charge since we are a big group, but our waiter did not grat us. He took care of us: refilled every cup, answered every question, returned every request. When we received our bills, you bet we took care of him, too. My partner and I ordered a 12oz. Filet mignon and a lobster tail with a loaded baked potato and mushroom skewer. As soon as our waiter set down our plate, he kindly asked us to cut into our steak to make sure it was cooked correctly. It was a bit too rare so he brought it back to the grill for us. The lobster tail: salty, but dipping it in butter balances it out. Baked potato was very soft and moist; delicious. Mushroom skewers were yummy, very juicy! The manager brought our steak back out and apologized, and even gave us another baked potato. We did not expect this! Thanks! Menus are pretty big, so it might take you a while to decide what to order hahah. But overall, we left very full and satisfied. I definitely recommend you try it at least once!

Granted, Logans is not one of my favorite restaurants. But for an easy lunch with great country music sometimes it can't be beat. I have never had a bad meal here and I don't know what people are complaining about. As far as I am concerned if you are going to get a ~$10 steak, which is probably going to be at a chain restaurant, this is the place to go in Baton Rouge. I usually get the Sirloin and I find it is better than Outback or whatever and a lower price. I recently stopped by while I was in the area, ordered the Sirloin medium, and they cooked it just right, juicy in the center, and seasoned it well with pepper and spices. The bread is good. The loaded potatoes are good. They serve a good typical steakhouse style house salad. You can see the pieces of meat they cook with in the front. The prices are good. I always get good service. I think a lot of people are just turned off by the country music and peanuts on the floor but just because a place isn't pretentious doesn't mean they aren't a good value in their market segment.
